Jesus The Bridge To Heaven ( mini series) lesson 8

What The scriptures teach about man's relationship to God , Jesus , Heaven, Hell , Fallen angels , sin Surealworld Illustrations
23 August 2009

The goal of this lesson is to present the evidence that Jesus, The Christ ' s death
      was not circumstantial, but predestined!

                                               Jesus's death - Fate or Predestined ?

     9. Jesus paid the penalty for sin

     Romans chapter 8 : 3 - 4
" For what the law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did send
His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He
condemned sin in the flesh  ( 4 ) in order that the requirement of the law might be
fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

     Romans chapter 4 : 4 : 24 - 25
But for our sake also, to whom it will be reckoned, as those who believe in Him
who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead ,  ( 25 ) He who was delivered up
because of our transgressions , and was raised for our justification

     10. Jesus seen by many after His resurrection.

Angels proclaim His resurrection at the tomb where Jesus was buried .

     Luke chapter 24 : 2 - 7
And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb,  ( 3 )  but when they entered,
they did not  find the body of The Lord Jesus. ( 4 )   and it happened that while they
were perplexed about this, behold , two men suddenly stood near them in
dazzling apparel ;   ( 5 )  and as the women were terrified , bowed their faces to
the ground, the men said to them, " Why do you seek the Living One among the
dead  ?  ( 6 )  He is not here, but has risen.   Remember how He spoke to you
while He was still in Galilee,   ( 7 )  saying that The Son Of Man must be delivered
into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again."

      Jesus appears unto His disciples.

     Luke chapter  24 : 36 - 48
And while they were telling these things, He Himself stood in their midst.
(  37 )  But were startled and frighten and thought they were seeing a spirit.
( 38 )  And He said to them , " Why are you troubled , why do doubts arise in your
hearts ?  ( 39 )  see My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself ; touch Me and see, for
a spirit dose not have flesh and bone as you see that I have."  ( 40 )  and when He
said this, He showed them His hands and feet.  ( 41 )   And while they still could
not believe it fo joy and  were marveling , He said to them ,  "  Have you anything
     here to eat ? "  ( 42 )  And they gave Him a piece of broiled fish ;  ( 43 ) and He took
it and eat it before them.  ( 44 )  Now He said to them , " These  are My words
which I spoke to you while I was still with you ,  that all things which are written
about Me in the law of Moses and the prophets and Psalms must be fulfilled."
( 45 )  Then He opened their minds to understand the scriptures ,  ( 46 )  and He
said to them , " Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and rise again from
the dead the third day ;  ( 47 )  and that repentance forgiveness of sin should be
proclaimed in His name to all the nations , beginning from Jerusalem.  You are
the witnesses of these things . "
